King James Bible

Psalms 131

“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”

Psalm 119:89

The BiblePsalmsChapter 131

Words printed in italics were supplied by the translators to complete the sense in English; they have no corresponding word in the Hebrew or Greek. The King James translators marked them honestly so the reader could see exactly what they had added.

1A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. 2Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. 3Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and forever.
